It protects, saves energy and creates a pleasant climate, says the new Climax logo

 

Climax has been on the market for 28 years now. And during that time, various things have changed. The company grows, develops and there are various changes that accompany us over time. In order to remain at the forefront among manufacturers of shading technology, it is simply necessary to change our old habits and procedures here and there. Only in this way can we constantly move, improve and keep up with the best.

 

For the last few years, we have been discussing with the company´s management whether it is not time to change our logo. After all, we have been using the current form of the logo for more than a quarter of a century, and what was good at the time the company was founded is now simply conforming to its time. There were several reasons for us to change the logo. The main reason was that in Germany, France and the Benelux we were forced to use the logo with the attribute "Sunscreens by Servis Climax, a.s." because the Climax brand is already registered in these countries by the manufacturer of conservatories and pergolas. And this was one of the many conditions for us to be able to use the Climax brand in these markets at all. For the Czech Republic and Slovakia, we used the Climax logo with various attributes (blinds, shading for Your home). All this greatly complicated our "life" and very often we had to distinguish which version of the logo we would ever use. Another reason for the change was the very element "sun behind the cloud with blinds in the background" which was not very well applicable in a smaller size, on embroidery, or even for stamping the logo directly on the slats or boxes.

 

So this year we decided to address several graphic designers and large advertising agencies and announced a public tender for a new logo. A total of seven graphic designers and advertising agencies took part in the competition and sent us a total of 15 Climax logo designs. So we had a lot to choose from.

 

Right at the beginning, we said to ourselves that our goal is definitely not to change the logo at any cost, but only if someone submits a design that would really interest us. And this happened with the last presented logo design, on which we clearly agreed on the spot and without further thought. And that´s the way it should be! If something is interesting and you like it at first glance, then it usually works.

 

And how did time go with the Climax logo? Take a look and remember with us...

 

2003: The first version of the Climax logo

 

 

 

2005: Based on market research, Climax finds that the brand is not well known among end customers to automatically recall that it is a manufacturer of shading systems. Under the logo, Climax´s core products are added - blinds, roller shutters, awnings.

 

 

 

2007: Along with the logo, the slogan "the best under the sun" is being used. This slogan has been used successfully on the domestic market for several years.

 

 

 

2009: Return to the logo version with assortment, only in a slightly modified form.

 

 

 

2011: Only the blinds remain under the Climax logo as a product that is best-selling and at the same time symbolizes "shading". At the same time, Climax is launching an advertising campaign with the slogan "king in the world of blinds", which is still used for another 5 years after the end of the advertising campaign.

 

 

 

 

2014: Most of you will probably not even notice the change in the logo - due to problems with the application of the logo, we have reduced the number of stripes behind the sun from 13 to 11.

 

 

 

2016: In 2016, we come up with the slogan "shading for your home" and delete the ® trademark symbol from the logo.

 

 

 

2020 CLIMAX IN A NEW COAT!

 

Finally, we present a new version of the Climax logo which in certain characters refers to the original logo. However, the new logo is more modern and elegant, and in addition it can be used for all applications, whether it is embroidery, stamping, etc. We will use the logo with a uniform attribute "Sunscreens" both in the Czech Republic and abroad. The new logo thus allows the use of a graphic element in the form of the "C" symbol, which offers additional visual style options.

 

 

We will gradually start using the new logo from this autumn. From next year, we will gradually change this logo. Somewhere it will be easier, for example in printed matter or in an online environment where it is a matter of a few "clicks", elsewhere it will be a more complicated and lengthy process. Therefore, both logos - both existing and the new one - will simply live "side by side" for some time,
